Forms naturally, as cooled bubbling metal ore, polishing brings out the silver / iron colour.
This is naturally forming hematite, which has bubbled and cooled into the shape you see here. Once formed this piece has been polished to reveal the metalic silver appearance you see here, which is also what most people expect to see in their hematite. Note. without the polish, this type of formation would actually appear red. If you look in the shop you will find, other red ones.
