Glendonite is a Calcite pseudomorph over Ikaite. Origin - Kola Peninsula, Russia
Ikaite - is a rare hydrated calcium carbonate mineral which when exposed to warmer temperatures and/or decreased pressure, it transforms into glendonite. Glendonite typically retains the original crystal shape of ikaite.
