Faden Quartz Points are used for Attunement using the Melody Method. True fadens are tabular in formation and include a white line or thread which is visible through the crystal. This thread running through the tabular crystal is what provides the connection, through transition of the tabular crystal from the healer to the subject.

The same principle can be used for readers. As every honest reader knows, you can't always get the connection with the client the way you want it, and its not always down to our ability.
