Surface, Yes the surface is pitted, thats totally to be expected, the pyrite was shaped from a Coco type formation, the pits reveal the crystal structure within. Some gaps show cubic formations within.
Storage and Cleansing Note: Fine Pyrites are metal and therefore react to damp and water, which can promote rust, so keep in a dry place and do not cleanse with water.
