A Desert Rose is a naturally occurring formation of selenite gypsum, these ones are found in Mexico.
These crystals form perfectly in the desert sand from wind and sand erosion near selenite gypsum deposits. They make for lovely home decorations.
Note: Frosted is a descriptive term used for their appearance only.
Also these are often listed as Saharan desert roses, even though they are actually Mexican. Saharan is different.
