Tip! - Never lift a geode from the top. Always from the bottom and with two hands. Lifting form the top is a common error which puts the crystal in danger. A geode is a collection of individual crystals nested together, encased in a common coat, so the strength of the pack or crystals has a relation to mass and densitiy. in short your geode is safer held at the denser part.
Geodes are priced on Weight, often the Brazilians will fill the base or sides with Concrete. This is done for good reasons, however it also means that the buyer is paying a "Crystal" rate for concrete parts.
