Prehnite Physical Properties
Prehnite is usually a oily green colour, but it may also be pale yellow, grey, white, colourless or brown. It often forms as botyroidal masses or aggragates of barrel shaped crystals, but it can also occasionally form columnar or tabular crystals. It has a colourless streak, is transparent to translucent with a vitreous to pearly lustre. Group SILICATES, Composition Ca2Al2Si3O10(OH)2, Hardness 6.0-6.5, Crystal structure ORTHORHOMBIC.
