Rutile Crystal Meaning 
Golden Rutile or Angel Hair relates to the arcs of the aura that steam from the crown chakra to the universal arcs which carry the rays of the sun (higher consciousness) to the self. In this way it affects both the etheric and the astral bodies and aids in the healing of pain of either the mind or physical body. Rutilated Quartz Physical Properties
Rutile mostly occurs in Quartz (SiO2). Quartz forms hexagonal prisms, terminated by rhombohedra, or pyramidal shapes. The faces are often striated, and the crystals twinned and distorted. It also occurs in massive, granular, concretionary, stalactites and cryptocrystalline habits. Quartz with mineral inclusions are common, rutilated quartz or sagenite (commonly called Venus hair stone except when it is coloured gold when it is called angel hair) is quartz with needle like rutile crystals. The rutile crystals may be yellow, red or black, and have a metallic lustre. Group OXIDES, Composition SiO2, Hardness 7.0, Crystal structure TRIGONAL.
